A fun body percussion play along and a rhythm play along in one activity? Yep! It’s perfect for elementary music classes. Students will love playing rhythms using body percussion moves.

TIP #1 PROVIDE MULTIPLE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

Teaching rhythms doesn’t have to be all about clapping!

Rhythm activities can include many different learning opportunities like;

  • SAYING
  • PLAYING
  • COLORING
  • MATCHING
  • CREATING

TIP#2 CONNECT LEARNING CONTENT

I’ve found that students will remember things when they can connect learning with something relevant.

Using thematic rhythm activities improves student learning.

Try connecting rhythm activities with songs, popular movies, holidays, school themes and kid friendly activities.

That’s why I’ve created many different themes of rhythm activities.

Using the same resource to practice and create rhythms in different learning activities.

Consider using the materials in STATIONS. Here are some activities for students to have opportunities to practice and create.
