USE THIS RESOURCE:

Chants are a great way to teach Rhythmic concepts.

Project the chant and practice together as a whole class.

After teaching a couple of the chants, divide students into small groups, pass out printed copies, ask students to work together to perform the chant. Great opportunities for improvisation and expression. Students can create Ostinato, Steady Beat accompaniment and creative movement for a fun classroom activity.
